Dr Fangyuan Chen received her PhD degree in Marketing from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her main research interest is consumer subjective experiences and revolves around three themes: (a) product anthropomorphism, (b) subjective vitality, and (c) affect and information processing. Her research has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied. She teaches subjects on Consumer Behaviour, and Experimental Methodology. Prior to joining the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Dr Chen worked as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, Beijing.
