Yan holds PhD degree in Marketing and MSc degree in Economics from Tilburg University, and Bachelor degree in Physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research is in Quantitative Marketing and Empirical IO. Her recent research interests include brand prominence (e.g., consumer response to brand extensions in an incomplete information framework), home production (e.g., household purchase behaviors under time constraint), and platform markets (e.g., crowdfunding market and knowledge-sharing platform).
